Malick Sidibé est né à Soloba (cercle de Yanfolila) au Mali. Il s'établit artisan photographe ambulant, à vélo, en 1957 et immortalise, de surprises parties en bals de fin d'année, le Bamako yéyé des années d'Indépendance.
